Sean & Alyssa McKeever are a celebrated West Coast Swing partnership known internationally for their competitive excellence, innovative teaching, and deep contributions to the WCS community. Originally from Northern California, both dancers developed strong individual foundations—Sean coming form a background in Martial Arts, began dancing  in a ballroom dance program in Sonoma County CA, and later discovered West Coast Swing in 2006. Alyssa had a strong dedication to Lindy Hop from an early age, later meeting Sean in that same ballroom program where they sparked a friendly rivalry over WCS vs. Lindy Hop styles. A few years later Alyssa embraced WCS after seeing videos from the US OPEN SWING DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS on Sean’s Myspace Page. As teen’s both dancers threw themselves into the competitive WCS circuit and rose rapidly through competitive ranks in parallel. 

They shared the dance floor for years as they both built their individual careers, and in 2022, they decided to join forces as a partnership. 

It didn’t take long for them to fall head over heels in love, and got married in August of 2023 in Carmel CA. 

Since then they have quickly became one of the most influential partnerships in the West Coast Swing.  In 2025 they clinched the Open World Swing Dance Championships Classic Division title, a pinnacle achievement at one of the dance world’s most prestigious events. That same year they also secured top honors winning the NASDE Tour and the USA Grand Nationals Championship, underscoring their dominance across the competitive circuit. 

Beyond competition, Sean & Alyssa are sought-after global instructors, known for their creative choreography, emphasis on musicality, and warm teaching style. They travel full time teaching workshops, classes, intensives, and community events worldwide, inspiring dancers of all levels to grow technically and expressively within the West Coast Swing tradition. Their contributions as educators, competitors, and innovators have made them influential figures in the ongoing evolution of West Coast Swing, earning them both an induction into The California Swing Dance Hall of Fame.
